About Trattoria Dei Pescatori

The intimate ambiance of the seafood spot gently hums with the quiet chatter of locals and visitors alike, framed by simple decor that reflects an authentic coastal charm. While some diners lean towards well-known regional dishes, the kitchen’s creativity shines through lesser-known specialties that reveal the depth of the Mediterranean’s maritime offerings. Observations from multiple sources hint at a consistent level of care in plating, where freshness and seasonality dictate daily choices. Patrons consulting Trattoria Dei Pescatori reviews often highlight the balance between traditional flavors and unexpected touches, even if the pace of service occasionally lags during peak hours.

Among the more memorable elements found on the Trattoria Dei Pescatori menu is the variety of daily catches prepared with understated finesse—grilled octopus with a tender char and lightly dressed anchovies stand out, capturing the essence of Ligurian seafood without overpowering the palate. Plates arrive with a rustic elegance, and the presentation aligns well with photos shared across dining forums, which accurately represent the portion sizes and vibrant colors. Though prices lean slightly toward the higher end when compared with other eateries in the region, the freshness delivered rarely disappoints, reinforcing the restaurant’s reputation for commitment to quality ingredients sourced directly from nearby waters.

Conversations with staff reveal a genuine passion for the culinary traditions of the sea, which echoes in the often personal recommendations offered to guests, contributing to an inviting dining experience even when the setting sometimes feels cramped due to the restaurant’s popularity. Feedback gathered from various platforms suggests that overall impressions of this small coastal establishment oscillate between heartfelt praise and gentle notes on occasional inconsistency, particularly regarding wait times and availability as implied by Trattoria Dei Pescatori photos capturing busy, candlelit evenings. Such contrasts lend the place a sense of being a well-loved local treasure rather than a polished, tourist-focused venue.

We wandered around looking at restaurants on the marina side of Santa Margherita as we had been concentrating more on the town and beach venues. It was our last night here before moving on and seafood was on our minds considering the geography is a seafood industry. I had the fried calamari my wife had the mussels marinara which they allowed to be a main. WOW just WOW. Mussels super flavourful in a white wine parsley sauce. No seasoning required and the mussels themselves were super fresh and tender. As for the calamari the batter was out of this world light and the flesh was melt in your mouth. Wait staff was excellent and super attentive. House red and house prosecco was great. Italian wine walks all over our Australian wines. If we had a house red in Australia it would be some cheap plonk that you’d only cook with. Such a good environment to eat in. If you come to Santa Margherita. Eat here. It’ll be worth it. Thanks to the staff made our last night memorable.

Changed our plans one night and came here for dinner instead of another restaurant. We walked by many times and somehow never made it for dinner here. So we made a same-day reservation for an inside table. Our Bulldog being welcome as well. It's a very comfy, classic and relaxing Italian restaurant. Lots of tables inside and some more across the street by the water. It was a weekday, but the restaurant was booked pretty well. Lots of Italian classics as well as fish and seafood items on the menu. Really something for everybody. Had mussels marinara and the shrimp skewers for starters. Both very good items, nice and fresh. A good load of mussels for the price. An Aperol Spritz each for starters. For the mains the Cotoletta alla Milanese (deep-fried pork cutlet) and the Spaghetti Vongole (clams). Again, both choices excellent. The pork was crispy outside, but still juicy and tender inside. And the Spaghetti had nice seafood flavour with a good load of fresh clams. The bottle of local Vermentino went well with the seafood. Waiting staff was very welcoming, took care of us very nicely. And all did cost us just over 120 Euros. A fair price. Lovely atmosphere, good food, great staff and fair prices. Surely not our last time here.

We have been for the past two days in Rapallo and Portofino , we did not eat anything good until we came to Trattoria dei Pescatori, i felt great after eating authentic italian TASTY food, all the other places before were tourist traps. This place is spectacular, if you want to eat fresh seafood and pasta, just don’t even hesitate go there!
